I have to admit one thing: Yeah, I am exactly the kind of person who sleeps while I watch Netflix or any other similar platform. If you're like me, I have to tell you that you might also be in luck very soon, because Netflix has a new feature planned that allows you to add a timer for playback.
According to XDA Developers, the popular movie service app in an Android beta has included the ability for users to set a specific uptime. For example, after 90 minutes, Netflix will stop displaying the content and stop showing it.The information XDA developers were able to gather is due to a small piece of code (<string name = "sleep_timer_button"> Timer) which translates into "Timer", which is a timer in Arabic. Based on this, it is believed that very soon this option will appear available in the video player interface in future updates, although there is no confirmation from Netflix.
At the moment, the control mechanism that Netflix has when playing certain content is to ask it directly if it is still there, which you have to answer by pressing the confirmation button on the remote control. If not answered, the app will stop working.
