Video: The death of the French flying man "Vince Revit" in Dubai

Vince Rivette, known as "The Flying Man," died Tuesday while training in Dubai, as he and his team prepared for one of his upcoming challenges.

The 36-year-old French athlete gained thousands of followers on his Instagram account, where he posted videos of his stunts in the air and paragliding. For now, local authorities are investigating the cause of the fatal accident.

Jetman, the company Vince Revit collaborated with and dedicated to trying to achieve a human journey through technology, announced the sad news on its social networks: "With unimaginable sadness, we announce the death of Vince Revitt who passed away on the morning of November 17 during his training in Dubai."

The company statement added: "Vince was a talented athlete and a loved and respected member of our team. Our thoughts and invitations are directed to his family and all those who knew and worked with him."

Revit was a frontrunner in the world of extreme sports, approaching commercial aircraft in the sky mid-flight or flying over Dubai and avoiding majestic skyscrapers.
