If you have one of these phones, say goodbye to WhatsApp forever ... it will not work on your phone in 2021 forever

In a few days, WhatsApp will not be compatible with the operating systems below, and we'll let you know which mobile phones will be affected.

Not everything is forever, and WhatsApp on your mobile device has an expiration date, like any other app. We tell you which mobile devices will stop supporting WhatsApp as of 2021, and it is very close to arrival.

As we can read on the WhatsApp support page , these will be operating systems that will not be compatible with the application once the new year arrives.

In principle, if you have a mobile phone that you got in the past five years, you will be able to continue using WhatsApp without any problem in 2021, but if your phone is older, you probably will not be able to continue using the app.

Android requires a minimum number of devices running Android 4.0.3, an operating system released at the end of 2011, and it is possible that you were able to update to a newer version, so it is very rare for Android users that they cannot continue to use the WhatsApp application.

Something similar is happening for iPhones, as in 2021 you will be required to have iOS 9 or higher. IOS 9 was released at the end of 2015, and older versions will likely be updated as well, so if you have an iPhone that was purchased in the last six years, WhatsApp will continue to work without a problem in 2021.

These will be the minimum operating system requirements if you want WhatsApp to work on your phone in 2021:

- Phones running Android 4.0.3 and later

IPhones running iOS 9 and later

Some phone models with KaiOS 2.5.1 or later, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2
