Are you a beginner and want to learn to hack but don't know where to start? If so then you are in the right place. Since most of the free books and resources on the Internet are only intended for those who already have a great deal of knowledge on the topic, they fail to teach hacking to beginners. So, I decided to come up with this post which provides helpful tips for beginners on how to start their journey to becoming a hacker.
What is the best way to learn hacking for beginners?1. Start with the basics
For beginners with little or no knowledge of hacking, it is always a good idea to start from the basics. Instead of learning how to hack directly, you can start exploring more about topics like computer networks, network ports, firewalls, and common network protocols like IP address, HTTP, FTP, DNS, SMTP, etc. as well as how each of these things works.
You can also start to learn more about the alternative Linux operating systems whose knowledge becomes so essential in the field of hacking. The more you learn about the basics, the easier it will be to find vulnerabilities and exploit a device. Once you develop a basic understanding of the basic concepts, you will be in a position to easily understand the different hacking techniques that are in practice.
2. Find a good resource to start learning
If one has a fair amount of hacking experience, there are many books and websites that provide technical information about the most recent vulnerabilities along with possible ways to exploit them. However, it is difficult for beginners to find hacking learning resources straight from the basics in a simple and easy-to-follow manner.
Therefore, I decided to collect all of my 10+ years of experience in this field and to create a book for beginners called Hacking Secrets Exposed which does not require prior knowledge of the topic and makes it easy for readers to follow and understand it at every step. This book also comes packed with all the necessary basic concepts (as mentioned in Step 1) so that readers can find them all in one place. Therefore, I recommend this book to all beginners who have a dream to start their journey of becoming a hacker. This is an excellent source of knowledge for all those with little or no prior background in hacking. 3. Learn programming (optional)
If you want to take your hacking skills a step further, programming is something you can't skip. Although you can easily find a lot of ready-made tools and programs that allow you to hack with ease, it is always better to have some basic knowledge of programming languages like PHP and JavsScript so that you are in a position to develop your own tools and exploit codes. However, if you don't want to learn to code, you can skip this step and you'll still be a good hacker.
How long does it take to master hacking skills?
Since hacking is not something that can be mastered overnight, you shouldn't be in a hurry to get started. It takes knowledge, skills, creativity, dedication and of course, time. Depending on the amount of effort and dedication you put in, it may take anywhere from a few months to a few years to develop all the necessary skills. Everyone can become hackers provided they learn from the basics and build a solid foundation. So if you want to be a hacker, all you need is a passion to learn, and a good source of knowledge that will guide you through the basics and some perseverance.
