Technology has become essential to health and although there are wearable apps and devices focused on monitoring sleep, it is now Google's assistant's turn to venture into the field.
About a year ago, the Fitbit purchase by Google became official in order to compete with other devices such as the Apple Watch.Fitbit is a very popular brand for its wearable devices that aims to focus on sports and users' health, implementing functions such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, calories or step count, and much more.
One of these functions is Live Sleep Monitor that indicates the user's number of hours of sleep and the duration of deep or light sleep.
Now, Google Assistant has started offering features that integrate with activity and sports tracking apps. The smart assistant has already been updated to incorporate many functions in it.
However, one of the most notable updates is Wellnes, which, for now, is only possible to link the Fitbit app to this new option in the assistant, but it is a section where the Google Assistant is linked to health apps such as physical activity, steps, calories, and sleep monitoring.

In this way, users will already be able to learn relevant data to prioritize their health, from the hands of the experts.
At the moment, it seems to be a limited choice and it is not known when it could start expanding among all Android users who have Google Assistant. Hopefully that will happen soon.
